Haikyu!!: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump continues to dominate the Japanese box office, with the anime movie sequel recently surpassing the impressive milestone of 7.9 billion yen (~US$52.2 million) in revenue.

With its current total gross, Haikyu!!: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump has reached the same level of success as The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, ranking as the 85th highest-grossing movie in Japan. The film made its debut on February 16th.

During the March 22-24 weekend box office, Haikyu!!: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump regained the second position in the weekend ranking, surpassing Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyuu Symphony with a total of 354 thousand cinema attendees. On March 22, the movie entered its third wave of freebies for attendees, which included the Karasuno x Nekoma Memorial Book, along with the release of a new trailer celebrating its box office success.

Among the ongoing anime movies in Japan, Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyuu Symphony has grossed over 2.4 billion yen (~US$15.86 million) since its premiere on March 1st, securing the third spot in the weekend ranking with 267 thousand moviegoers. Meanwhile, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom, which premiered on January 26th and quickly became the highest-grossing Gundam movie, has earned over 4.1 billion yen (~US$27.1 million). These movies claimed the 3rd and 10th positions, respectively, in the weekend box office ranking.

The first installment of the Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction movie debuted at the 7th position in the weekend ranking after its release on March 22nd.
